5 मई 2020 को कार्ल मार्क्स का जन्म दिवस था और 7 मई  2020 को तथागत गौतम बुद्ध का |इस दुनिया में दोनों ही शख्सियतें ऐसी हुई हैं जिन्होंने अपने- अपने समय में तो लोगों को प्रभावित किया ही है , परन्तु अब भी लोगों को प्रभावित कर रही हैं | दोनों ही विचारधाराएँ मानवतावाद की सर्वोच्च अभिव्यक्तियाँ हैं| दोनों ही का मकसद रहा है एक शोषणमुक्त,भेदभाव रहित, समता मूलक समाज का निर्माण करना | हाँ, इन दोनों के रास्ते जरूर अलग- अलग हो सकते हैं परन्तु मंजिल एक ही है | बुद्ध धम्म इंसान प्रेरित समाज की बात करता है और मार्क्सवाद समाज प्रेरित इंसान की बात करता है |  अर्थात  अगर  इंसान  बुद्ध  धम्म  के अनुसार जीवन जिएगा तो समाज भी ठीक हो जाएगा क्योंकि इंसान ही तो समाज की एक ईकाई है और मार्क्सवाद के अनुसार समाज का इस तरह पुनर्निर्माण किया जाना चाहिए , कि हर एक व्यक्ति अच्छी तरह जीवन यापन कर सके | बुद्ध धम्म  नैतिकता और सम्यक्ता की बात करता है जबकि मार्क्सवाद आर्थिक न्याय की बात करता है | इन दोनों में तुलना करना आसान नहीं है, एक लगभग 2500 वर्ष पहले जन्मी विचारधारा है और दूसरी लगभग 170 वर्ष पूर्व, परन्तु दोन

आज सारी मानवता, सम्पूर्ण विश्व एक संकट के दौर गुजर रहा है ।इससे पहले भी कई तरह के संकट आए होंगे, जिनका सामना करके ही हम यहाँ तक पहुंचे हैं ।इसका सामना भी करना ही पड़ेगा और कोई रास्ता नहीं है ।  पिछले साल, दिसंबर के महिने में शुरू हुई कोरोना वायरस, नामक बीमारी ने आज एक महामारी का रूप ले लिया है। चीन के वुहान नामक शहर से शुरू हुई इस बीमारी ने विश्व के कई देशों को अपनी चपेट में ले लिया है । भारत भी इस बीमारी से अछूता नहीं रहा है, हमारे देश में भी इस बीमारी से ग्रस्त लोगों का अच्छा- खासा आंकड़ा सामना आ चुका है । अभी तक इस वायरस की कोई वैक्सीन नहीं है , सावधानी ही सबसे बड़ा बचाव है । सरकार तथा स्वास्थ्य विभाग द्वारा समय-समय पर लोगों के लिए भी जरूरी निर्देश जारी किए जा रहे हैं । इन दिशा निर्देशों का सख्ती से पालन करना ही सब लोगों के लिए बेहतर होगा। इस संकट के दौर ने बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण सवालों को भी जन्म दिया है , जैसे विज्ञान व वैज्ञानिक सोच का आज के समय में क्या महत्व है ? दूसरा महत्वपूर्ण सवाल है कि जाति, धर्म, लिंग, क्षेत्र और देश- राष्ट्र की दीवारें भी इस बीमारी को क्यों
